The City of Amsterdam is working hard on improving its services to its citizens. Central in their strategy is an emphasis on innovation, primarily realised in the form of their CTO Innovation Team. Products of this emphasis can already be seen throughout the city, from city benches produced from household waste, self-driving cars, and the use of data predicting crowdedness in the city. Economic Affairs works on strengthening the city economy and the metropolitan region through creating a healthy business climate and giving extra attention to talent development, innovative entrepreneurship, co-creation and the sharing of knowledge.
