Oostenburg is an idyllic island on the outer edges of the centre of Amsterdam. The industrial labour that characterised the neighbourhood inspired VORM and Steenwell’s sturdy architectural design for the Oostenburg apartments. The strength of VORM and Steenwell lies in the connection of innovative parties that amplify and complement each other’s approach to development. Their goals are ambitious: the creation of new living spaces that not only provide shelter, but that truly feel like home in a bustling urban city.
