Opening Night: Setting the Urban Agenda of Tomorrow
Urban ConferenceDuring the opening programme Kate Raworth, Toni Griffin, Francesca Bria, Gabriella Gómez-Mont, Aisha Bin Bishr, and others, will answer the questions are key to this first edition of the WeMakeThe.City festival: What kind of city do we want to live in, in five, ten or fifteen years time? And how do we make the city of the future; inclusive, sustainable, affordable, safe and prosperous?

More and more cities are becoming the economic motors of entire countries, and the majority of the world’s population is living in cities. Large cities are predominantly successful, but at the same time, they are places where social issues and discomforts can accumulate.

The major urban and societal challenges require new coalitions and alternative forms of cooperation, in which citizens are explicitly involved. How can we achieve sustainable change together, change in which we spare the environment and grow towards a fairer society?
