Amsterdam Zuidoost (South East) is a beautiful and diverse part of the city. During WeMakeThe.City there are various programmes that reflect the value of this district, for all ages. Check out the richly filled programme below.

Children can learn how to make their own newspaper or tv show about the people living in the neighbourhood. Themes that young people find important will be explored in a mobile studio, by means of talk shows, street interviews, green screen technique, editing and publishing through various media channels. Join in!

ZO!ZijnWij is a photography project that aims to capture the beauty and diversity of Zuidoost. Four promising, young photographers present their most captivating portraits of people living in the Bijlmer. In collaboration with young photography talents, the photographers worked on this project for a whole year. You are welcome to visit the exhibition until Friday. Please make an appointment if you want to come by on the weekend.

Kleiburg is the beer made at the Kleiklooster, a former convent in the Bijlmer area of Amsterdam. The profits from the beer sales pays for the rent – in return, the convent is open to all who wish to visit. Taste and enjoy the special beers!
