Amsterdam is a vibrant place. The city and its metropolitan region are growing ever faster. New visitors, new enterprises, and new inhabitants bring new opportunities and fresh energy. The appeal of Amsterdam is mainly due to its scenic urban sites and high quality of life. The unique urban planning and architecture go hand in hand with a bustling nightlife, high-tech start-ups, world-class museums, and a large data-driven industry. But this success is a double-edged sword. Bike lanes are overcrowded, traffic jams are increasing, and the railway stations and Schiphol Airport are bursting at the seams. Not to mention the decreasing air quality and ever scarcer public space needed for transport. New technology offers possibilities and solutions, but also raises new questions. What kind of city do we want our metropolitan region to be? Do we have a right to commute? And what does that mean? During the Metropolitan Mobility Conference, we address these questions. With international and local examples we will focus on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and the future of digital infrastructure.

Where can the bicycle take us?

BYCS will host a breakout session at their pavilion where Adam Stones will talk about the role of the bicycle in future cities, asking 'Where can the bicycle take us?'. Joining him is Marije van Gent from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. She will give a presentation about ‘Psychology for Sustainable Cities’. She'll discuss how behavioural insights can be applied to stimulate green behaviour.

Smart Mobility gaat een grote impact hebben op de stad en op ons werk. Bent u een beginner of bent al enkele hoofdstukken verder? Maak kennis met het onderwerp en professionals in het veld. Ontdek waar u staat, vraag naar hartenlust en wordt minstens 3x slimmer. Nieuwsgierigheid staat centraal in deze sessie vol interactie.

Elektrificatie van uw Wagenpark

Elektrische auto’s voor uw medewerkers mogelijk maken, stimuleren of verplichten? In deze parallelsessie staan we stil bij de wijze waarop u uw wagenpark kunt verduurzamen. U kunt kiezen voor een directe of gefaseerde aanpak. Uw keuze hangt af van verschillende zaken: het autogebruik van uw personeel, beschikbare budget, uw ambitie, timing en de bereidheid te veranderen van uw medewerkers. Na afloop van de sessie weet u wat de trends zijn en u leert van experts en branchegenoten meer over de wijze waarop zij hun wagenpark hebben verduurzaamd.

Puzzelen op bereikbaarheid

De komende jaren zal in Zuidas aan het grootste infraproject van Nederland worden gewerkt: het Zuidasdok. En dat in een periode waarin Zuidas zich nog verder ontwikkelt als internationale toplocatie om te wonen en te werken. Dat brengt een grote uitdaging met zich mee om het gebied bereikbaar te houden. Daartoe hebben gemeente Amsterdam en TNO een tool doorontwikkeld om in dit soort situaties bereikbaarheidsscenario’s te kunnen doorrekenen. Graag nemen we jullie mee in het innovatieve proces waarin we de puzzel maken om Zuidas en de omgeving zoveel mogelijk bereikbaar te houden.

Denk mee over het Project Ervaar MaaS

Project Ervaar MaaS is een experiment waarmee Amsterdammers de kans krijgen MaaS te ervaren. In ruil voor maximaal 2 maanden geen auto ontvangen de deelnemers reiscredits waarmee men kan reizen met deelnemende vervoerders en deelauto’s en deelfietsen. Denk en test mee in de onderliggende ICT.
