Future of Mobility Workshop

Urban Special

Dit programma is in het Engels.

Facilitated by City Innovation Exchange Lab (www.citixl.com), the workshop provides an overview of existing solutions in the field of green, smart and safe mobility. Participants will get the chance to test drive some of the solutions and project these in the ‘city of tomorrow’.

Introduction
Mobility is already receiving a technology-driven reboot. The details are still taking shape, but future transport systems will certainly be connected, data-driven and highly automated. Obviously the new technology must work safely, be sustainable and operate within an appropriate regulatory framework. But public acceptance and solid business models are also vital if a new idea is to move from R&D lab to testbed to early adoption, and eventually into mainstream usage.

Pitches
Among others - 2getthere (www.2getthere.eu), Felyx (www.felyx.nl), Bun.run (www.bun.run)

Themes
● Smart Mobility: Navigation, MaaS (Mobility as a Service), Last Mile Solutions, big data and Predictive analytics, Vehicle & fleet tracking, etc
● Safe Mobility: car2x communication, smart parking, smart signs & traffic lights, intelligent traffic systems, etc
● Green Mobility: eBikes, autonomous delivery, air, ground & water drones, EV (electric vehicles) & Autonomous vehicles, bike sharing, car & ride sharing, vehicle to grid, Solar, etc

Facilitators
City Innovation Exchange Lab (www.citixl.com) has been working hard with the City’s CTO office and key members of the Amsterdam innovation community to co-create an effective innovation exchange program that addresses core values which we have established with local stakeholders and international partners – Speed, Social inclusion, Citizen empowerment, Simple and effective solutions (low hanging fruit), Quick wins, Social impact, Nurturing and Growth to Scale.

Tom van Arman – workshop facilitator – is an architect & urbanist using open data, api’s & IoT solutions to create more social, sustainable & resilient cities. In 2010 he founded Tapp an award winning agency enabling local governments and industries to become leaders in bottom up digital revolution. In 2018 he co-founded AMSiXL (Amsterdam Innovation Exchange Lab) to share solutions with municipal partners from around the world.

As co-facilitator we have Duncan Gidney (http://duncangidney.com/) from Nice Works.
