A Lab is a living lab, merging the power of the Amsterdam creative sector, technological talent and free spirits in hotbed for extraordinary experiments, measuring 5000 square feet. They house creatives and technicians and stimulate labs researching the way we'll live in the network society of the near future. They develop ideas and companies and appreciate failure as much as they do success.

During WeMakeThe.City you can join all kinds of activities at A Lab, organised by all of the members. Visit a theatre or dance performance at the former Shell laboratory, take a look at the Vertical Farm and taste some of the new lettuce flavours and get inspired at the music sessions!

A Lab is powered by its communities and inspired by its location, and they take pride in their programmes. You can rent a desk, an office or an inspirational space. Being a member of A Lab means being part of an active community and all events. The physical and virtual labs gather the ecosystems which can change the world. To name a few: Bio, Art & Culture, Journalism, Music, Social Robotics, Blockchain & Visual.
