Expositie Eberhard van der Laan
Urban ExpoDe Mooiste Stad
Every day during WeMakeThe.City you can visit the exhibition 'De Mooiste Stad' (The Most Beautiful City) at the Amsterdam Museum, composed by Mayor Eberhard van der Laan, shortly before his untimely death.
The Amsterdam Gallery of the museum will showcase 80 pictures and objects from the collection of the Amsterdam Museum and the City Archive, selected by the Mayor. He wanted to point out how the Amsterdam people dealt with the growing pains and the economic growth of the city in the past. By doing this he hoped to start a profound discussion about the future of the city.
Visiting children can get acquainted with the themes in a playful manner - together with their (grand)parents.
This activity is free of charge and can be visited during the whole festival.
