Urban Expo

Expositie van levensgrote deurportretten van kindvertalers en hun families

Portraits by social artists collective Moving Arts Project of children translating for their parents, functioning as mediators between two worlds.

The guided tour will highlight the special qualities of the child translators and expose the discrepancy between the interests of the families and the expectations of our society. The tours are led by experts through experience and linguists from Amsterdam. The exhibition consists of life-size portraits of the children, standing in their own doorway. Some of the stories behind the portraits will be brought to life in a theatrical way. The official opening of the exhibition will come to an end with drinks for all of the visitors and participants and a discussion on the phenomenon of child translators.
